At the start of May the global temperature warmed up, reducing the anomaly from negative 2.30°C to negative 0.4°C. During May this was maintained apart from the middle of May where there was dip to negative 1.57°C.
The global mean surface temperature average for May was 5.76°C. The normal global mean surface temperature average for May is 6.5°C.
During the month of May the 10.58 million km2 of snow extent as well as 1.77 million km2 of sea ice extent loss in the northern hemisphere vs 2.77 million km2 of sea ice gain in the southern hemisphere.
The global temperature warmed by 2.18°C from April to May.
Below are the spreadsheets.

Now modelled data doesn't match this data. Modelled data have the northern hemisphere average 10° degree latitude south of this data for the northern hemisphere. In the southern hemisphere almost double.
So this spreadsheet data has temperature at 45 degree latitude vs 35 degree (northern) latitudes and 59 degree latitude (southern) vs 41 degree latitude for modelled data.
