The northern hemisphere increased in temperature from 14.12°C to 16.00°C.

The southern hemisphere started quite cool then some heat got to the south pole, but then cooled again further.

So started -1.49°C and ended -2.07°C.

These changes effected the snow and sea ice extents.

The northern hemisphere lost around 9 million km², but the southern hemisphere gained around 3 million.

Sea surface temperature in June was 14.65°C (covering 80°N to 70°S).
